nothing

Hey just a short update this morning, when I have nothing to say....I realized that we have lots to share as our normal life is news for others right? Gaylene and I are very proud of our children and what they have accomplished. Adison Graduated this week and has become a responsible young Man! This morning he has already left for baptism classes which he started last weekend. We are so blessed to see our children wanting to serve God. Aaryn is back at home and resumed her job at Mask Restuarant in gimli. She endured a spring class after her year was done, so she had a bit of a slow start to her job. Wow hard to believe she has two years completed already at University. Hey get this....Our family is heading out on a "Road Trip" We are calling this the "25th Anniversary cross country tour" All five of us are heading south to yellowstone, and then going to make a decision to head south some more or west to Seatle and Victoria island. Yes we have been married 25 years! Jayms grew another couple inches in the past four months, and he will figure out the he wants to go with us. We are still so proud of Jayms as to his accomplishment and attitude towards his size and how he was so dedicated to his hockey this winter. Jayms loves to hang out with his friends and whenever they can come over he is thrilled! What else can a say this morning with nothing on my mind. Well we are also overhauling our house, with new siding and windows for sun room. (part of the 25th anniversay road trip year). This way I will not forget where we are in the next 25 years. Hopfully our kids will fill us in when our minds start going.... Or maybe it already has.lol.

Life is not a Game. We are here for a purpose and it's not what we think our purpose should be. Life is Serious and Jesus is the way. We have many friends and family, but only the fellowship of our relatonship with God gives true fulfillment.

my thoughts this morning

In Mathew chapter 26 verse 33, we find a statement made by Peter, which containes a wonderfull lesson we can all learn from. Peter boldly proclaims,
“Even if all are made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”


Peter's denial just before Jesus' death, gives us more than the usual lesson of "standing up for Christ" Here we see a man
who's pride had taken him to a height to which He needed to be humbled. Peter's bold statement set him up for failure and Peter had to learn a harsh lesson.

Many people take this position that "they know everything and live in a bubble that protects them from everything". Caution! You too will fall.

Peter later humbled himself and said, "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time" 1 Peter 5:6

May God's Grace cover all parts of your life today.

Frustrated

Well after such a useless boring previous post, one starts to think. Am I the kind of person people see as one to stay away from, or do I make every effort to live in a way that attracts people. I read this quote from C.Johnson a pastor from a church called "A Christ walk Church". (no endorsement intented)

It has become common that modern Christians, especially in America, have come to believe that they have absolute and total understanding of every possible aspect of Christian Faith, including every detail. IF any person could actually ever have such absolute and complete knowledge, that means that person either has or believes he/she has an entire and perfect understanding of the Plan of God for man. Such an attitude indicates a belief that the person is as smart as the Lord is, to so completely understand a Plan that has eluded billions of Christians before them, including many who spent their entire lives attempting to understand it. That is essentially the very definition of Arrogance, of an absolute smugness in one's own perfection that no one is allowed to ever question any aspect of it!

11And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

I am so angry tonight, and also disappointed. Pray for me as I deal with people with this character.

Winter hang on

Ever heard of a winter hang on? Hey just a update on life with the Kornelsen's. Jayms' hockey is over. With a silver medal at the provincials one should expect to be happy, however this was not the case. When the team that beat you gets killed in the final four bantam championships 23-0 to a team we competed with, your not happy. Adison is graduating from high school and Aaryn is doing very well in her second year of university. I am farming and Gaylene is counselling in Riverton schools. Sorry this is a boring post. Wait till the next one.

There will always be people who know all the answers. Of course these people are perfect beings and have little or no idea what live is about!

Hockey....hurt

Jayms is really enjoying his hockey this year. He is playing on Interlake's Bantam team. It really cool to see a bunch of young kids bond, and develop at a enormous rate. Realisticly we are a AA team, as the team was picked with this in mind. As our team has no option of playing more than exhibition games in the winnipeg AAA league, this team was chosen to participate in the AA bantam provincials. We have been gearing up for this all year and the team that was blown out in many games against the stronger winnipeg teams, are now competing very well. Winnipeg's Hawks are undefeated and we have played them twice within a goal and a couple goals. Most recently lost to the monarchs in a shootout. We have wins against monarchs and warriors, and have been handling Brandan all season, in spite of the first two of three games going to a shootout. Last three wins have been convincing wins. So where is Jayms in all of this? Playing on the third line and accepting this position very well. This is the first time in his career where he has taken this role of the team. Great to see good attitude and spirit, where as a parent you feel for him. He has a teammate about a inch taller than him, so he has someone to compare to. This guy plays powerplays and penalty kills, which gives him more ice time than Jayms.

Jayms sustained a upper body injury which has kept him out of action for a week now. He is having to miss the POE camp this weekend. So I am always reminded how little control we have over situations in hockey. He has never been out due to a injury which is a minor miricle in spite of his size. Team has a week off of games this next week so with a few physico (spelling please) should be ready for his provincial schedule.
